From percussion
to the double bass
Welcome to the official website of Giacomo Troncon, an Italian jazz bassist and composer. Born and raised in Italy, he moved to France in 2012.
His musical path began in Italy with percussion and vibraphone, then drums, before he found his instrument: the double bass.
Since then he has studied and shared the stage with musicians and institutions across Europe and the United States, from Paris clubs to festivals and stages abroad.
As a bassist and composer, he writes music that stays close to the jazz tradition while gently pushing at its edges.
