Welcome to the official website of Giacomo Troncon, an Italian jazz bassist and composer. Born and raised in Italy, Giacomo later moved to France in 2012, expanding his musical horizons and enriching his artistic journey.
Giacomo’s musical path began at the Italian root, where he initially studied percussion and vibraphone. However, his passion for jazz led him to explore the realm of drumming before ultimately discovering his true calling on the double bass.
Throughout his career, Giacomo has had the privilege of sharing his musical experiences with esteemed institutions and renowned masters across Europe and the United States, with notable figures such as Aaron Goldberg, Jeff Hirshfield, Adam Holzman, Federico Casagrande, and Peter Giron have further shaped his artistic development and enriched his musical perspective.
As both a bassist and composer, Giacomo Troncon brings a distinctive voice to the jazz scene. His compositions exhibit a blend of creativity, innovation, and reverence for the jazz tradition, reflecting his deep understanding of the genre and his willingness to push boundaries.
